Hi Bruce. Voted for this piece here & in the contest. I worked in publishing for a decade or so (in the flatiron building in New York)--in marketing, in fact. Book cover job #1, before any book's ever sold-- is to make the reader stop and physically pick up the book. The online equivalent I guess would be to click on the more info button. That's the first hook-- from there the job of bookselling moves on to the book's content. Reviewing the book covers in the contest-- this is the one I stopped and clicked on. Misson accomplished.
